Welcome To BuildAWebsiteBuzz
My aim is to help you build a website which will make you money
from home, whether you want a part-time income or have ambitions to grow a full-time
business.
These days, few people have the kind of job security that used to be the norm, so it makes sense to
have a 'Plan B', an income you can fall back on while you work the hours you choose.
Starting an online business has numerous advantages.
-
You can work the hours you want to work, when you want to work them.
-
You can work at your own pace - you don't have a boss looking over your shoulder.
-
Start up costs are lower than any other business.
-
The potential for online businesses is enormous; if you're prepared to put in the effort and work to a
system then you can take it as far as you want.
A word of warning though. There are many, many 'make money from home' schemes out there. I expect
you've had a look at some of them. The promises they make are seductive, aren't they? I know, I've fallen for them.
Unfortunately, there are too many which are a waste of money, don't work or are out-and-out scams.
My take on this? It's an old saying but it's a reliable one: If it sounds too good to be true,
it probably is.
I don't think it makes a difference whether you want to earn an extra few hundred dollars a month
or your ambition is to build a business that brings you a six-figure annual income. The philosophy is the same.
- Sustainability. Your business must have solid foundations and be able to grow at a
steady rate, for years ahead.
- Honesty and trust. If you are honest in the information you provide and the products
and services you promote it will show. Try to scam people, and you won't last.
- Provide real value. As Ken Evoy of SiteBuildIt! says, 'keep it real.' When visitors type a query into a search engine
they expect unique, quality information, not some regurgitated garbage. The good news for you is that the
search engines are getting better and better at filtering the 'quality' from the 'dross.'
These days, setting up a website is cheap, easy and fast. How quickly you earn money from it
depends on your commitment - the time, effort and persistence you put into it. This isn't a
get-rich-quick scheme. I think we all realise, deep down, that there's no such thing.
More good news is, there's a plan for doing this, and there are techniques and tools
available (many of them free or inexpensive) which help make the process as hassle-free as possible.
So, let's get going...
